Corrales hasn’t fought since a knockout loss to Albert Machado on October of 2017

In addition to Viktor Postol-Mohamed Mimoune and Efe Ajagba-Michael Wallisch, the April 27th PBC on Showtime card in Las Vegas will be joined by an untelevised undercard. Undefeated welterweight Terrel Williams takes top billing against fellow PBC regular Justin DeLoach, but the biggest news is former super featherweight champion Jezreel Corrales making his lightweight debut after 1.5 years out of the ring.

Corrales (22-2, 8 KO) scored one of the most memorably upsets of the last few years by blasting out Takashi Uchiyama in Tokyo back in 2016, then edged “KO Dynamite” by split decision in the rematch. A questionable technical decision over Robinson Castellanos followed, after which he lost his title on the scales and suffered the first knockout loss of his career against Albert Machado.

He’ll be back in action for the first time since October 2017 when he fights Richard Zamora (19-3, 12 KO), who got mauled by Mario Barrios two months ago on the Gervonta Davis-Hugo Ruiz undercard.

If Williams’ (17-0, 13 KO) name rings a bell, it’s probably because he was the one who stopped Prichard Colon on that ugly evening in 2015. He then spent two years on the sidelines before picking up a pair of wins over Rosemberg Gomez and woman-puncher David Grayton. DeLoach (18-3, 9 KO) snapped a two-fight losing streak last November.
