The 24-year-old prospect returns this weekend on DAZN and Sky Sports.

Featherweight prospect Jordan Gill (23-0, 7 KO) returns to the ring this Friday in Nottingham, facing Mexico’s Enrique Tinoco on Matchroom’s JDNXTGEN card that will stream live on DAZN and air on Sky Sports in the UK.

Gill, 24, talked about his improvements under trainer Dave Coldwell as he gets ready for another outing.

“Anything before Dave Coldwell feels like a different lifetime, it feels like it wasn’t me. I’m really coming into my element now,” he said. “I’m becoming a man, I’m 24 years old, I’ve still got bags of time and I’m learning every day in the gym. The world’s my oyster, really, and I’m going to keep on improving every week, keep on putting on good performances, keep on beating everyone that’s put in front of me, and keep on winning belts.”

The 29-year-old Tinoco (17-5-4, 12 KO) doesn’t figure to be any sort of real step up for Gill, who last fought on March 2 and wiped out Emmanuel Dominguez in three rounds. Tinoco hasn’t fought in 14 months, and is 2-3-2 in his last seven, dating back to 2015. He has notable losses to Devin Haney, Mario Barrios, and Mickey Roman.

Matchroom’s Friday show is headlined by Leigh Wood vs Ryan Doyle and Bad Left Hook will have live coverage, starting at 2:00 pm ET
