The lightweight prospect could be looking to make a big move.

Lightweight prospect Devin Haney, who has made something of a name for himself coming up the ranks on ShoBox, could be looking to make a major move with his career, as he took a meeting with Eddie Hearn this past Friday in Philadelphia.

Haney, 20, isn’t saying much for the moment. He hasn’t been tied to any promoter in his young pro career, which began in Dec. 2015.

“I haven’t made a decision yet,” Haney told iFL TV. “I haven’t signed to anyone.”

Asked when he would fight next, Haney said, “I’m gonna be back in the ring April 27. I can’t really speak on that because it’s not in writing yet. We’re still negotiating. But pretty soon we’ll fight for a world title. We’re in line for a world title.”

Haney (21-0, 13 KO) has fought his last three bouts on Showtime’s prospect series, stopping Mason Menard in May 2018, followed by wide decision wins over Juan Carlos Burgos and Xolisani Ndongeni in Sept. 2018 and Jan. 2019.

He’s considered a real top prospect in the sport, and along with Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia, one of three exciting young guns in the lightweight division in the United States, so if he made a deal to fight on DAZN going forward — or with anyone else for that matter — it’d be a pretty big deal.
