Tom Loeffler thinks Wladmir Klitschko still might have the itch to fight again, and that a bout against Deontay Wilder would be his preference.

Wladimir Klitschko may be retired, but he’s been stoking a lot of interest from those in boxing as he intimates that there’s at least a possibility that he comes back to the ring. Even his former promoter, Tom Loeffler, has said that he isn’t sure that Klitschko is satisfied with how he ended his career and thinks that he might still have the urge to return to the ring.

“Wladimir had such a good championship run that a lot of people want to see him back in the ring,” the Ukrainian’s former promoter Tom Loeffler told Sirius XM. “I don’t know whether he’s content with what he’s accomplished.”

After continuing by saying Klitschko’s social media posts indicate that he might still have ‘the bug’ to fight again, he throws out an opponent he’d most like to see him return against.

“My personal opinion is I’d like to see him and Deontay Wilder. That would be a tremendous fight.”

Klitschko, 43, hasn’t fought in just about two full years since getting stopped by Anthony Joshua back in April 2017. There were expectations that the two heavyweights would rematch after that first thrilling fight, but Klitschko instead decided to hand ‘em up and call it a career.

That said, there’s been plenty upon plenty of speculation that Klitschko could return to boxing as of late. And while nothing substantive has materialized on that front just yet, there remains the lure of more glory, and, of course, money. Sky Sports reports a rumor of Klitschko being a offered £60m deal for three fights, and that kind of money can be difficult to turn down.

Do any of you see Wladimir Klitschko coming out of retirement to make one more run of it?
