All three men were in their first year of eligibility

The International Boxing Hall of Fame has revealed the Class of 2021 ,which includes a number of familiar faces. The group will be inducted alongside the Class of 2020 in a ceremony this upcoming June.

In the men’s Modern category, PPV king Floyd Mayweather, longtime heavyweight emperor Wladimir Klitschko, and Olympic gold medalist turned two-division champion Andre Ward make the cut in their first year of eligibility. Miguel Cotto and James Toney, also in their first year of eligibility, will have to wait another 12 months.

The women’s Modern side sees undefeated icon Laila Ali and ATG puncher Ann Wolfe enshrined. In other categories, transformative pioneer Marian “Lady Tyger” Trimiar enters the women’s Trailblazer category and ring physician, neurologist, and NSAC/VADA veteran Dr. Margaret Goodman joins as a Non-Participant.

Posthumous nominees include:

  • Lineal featherweight champion Davey “The Springfield Rifle” Moore (Old Timer)
  • “The Female Ali,” Jackie Tonawanda (women’s Trailblazer)
  • Legendary cutman and trainer Freddie Brown (Non-Participant)
  • Trainer of champions Jackie McCoy (Non-Participant)
  • Journalist and author of “Four Kings,” George Kimball (Observer)
  • Showtime executive and promotional powerhouse Jay Larkin (Observer)
