The middleweight will face an opponent to be named.

Irish middleweight Jason Quigley will return to the ring as part of DAZN’s March 23 Copper Box card from London, which will be headlined by a WBC flyweight title fight between Charlie Edwards and Angel Moreno.

The 27-year-old Quigley (15-0, 11 KO) will face an opponent to be named in a 10-round bout on the undercard. Based in California, Quigley has fought his entire professional career thus far in the United States.

“I’m excited to make my UK debut in London,” said Quigley. “I know my fans at home are going to be thrilled that they have a short distance to travel for this one. It’s great to get a chance to fight in London and fight so close to home for me. I’m very grateful to Golden Boy Promotions and Matchroom Boxing for working together to give me the chance to fight on this show.”

Quigley has had some hype since turning pro in 2014, and started stepping up his competition a bit in 2016, but he’s been sort of stuck at the same level since then, really. He beat James de la Rosa in 2016, and has followed that up with wins over Jorge Melendez, Glen Tapia, Daniel Rosario Cruz, and Freddy Hernandez.

Given that there are only 10 days until this fight, we’re not going to see him face anyone better than he already has, but there are still hopes for him to become a serious contender at 160, even if they perhaps aren’t as strong as they were immediately following what was a strong amateur career.
