Sor Rungvisai rematches Estrada this Friday at The Forum.

WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (47-4-1, 41 KOs) is set to rematch Juan Francisco Estrada (38-3, 26 KOs) this Friday in Inglewood, California, and the Thai fighter is expecting fireworks.

The two fighters first met in an early 2018 fight that was so close that BLH scored the fight a draw on two separate scorecards. Despite that, Sor Rungvisai was able to officially take a majority decision after 12 rounds of hellacious action. The fight was so good that a rematch was essentially inevitable, and we’ll get to see it take place early this weekend.

Sor Rungvisai, is under no illusions that this will be much easier than the first one, though, and tells RingTV that he fully anticipates another barn burner for the fans.

“Estrada is a great fighter. We had a war for 12 rounds last time. I believe we will deliver another highly entertaining fight for the fans on April 26th. Estrada is a well-rounded boxer. As for the area I can exploit, we will see that in the ring. I expect a great fight between us, but I am confident I will win the fight and take my world title belts back to Thailand.”

In the time since Sor Rungvisai and Estrada first met, Sor Rungvisai took on a couple of lesser opponents in Young Gil Bae and Iran Diaz — both of whom he easily defeated. Estrada also fought two opponents, taking a decision over Felipe Orucuta last September and then going on to stop Victor Mendez just a few months later December.

Both fighters have had some solid rest since their last outings, and should both be primed for another war in just a few days.

Who ya got in this one?
