Fury fights Schwarz on June 15th in Las Vegas

Tyson Fury spoke to BT Sport earlier today ahead of his June 15th bout with Tom Schwarz. Amid the standard interview fodder, he revealed that his next fight after Schwarz would take place September 28th, which was one of three planned dates in a six-month span.

Fury (27-0-1, 19 KO) fought thrice in six months after missing all of 2016 and 2017, facing Sefer Seferi, Francesco Pianeta, and Deontay Wilder in quick succession. He’s been on the shelf for five months after negotiations over a Wilder rematch broke down.

That’s about all the info I’ve got, so it’s time for baseless speculation. Wilder fights Dominic Breazeale in just over two weeks, so he’d theoretically have enough time to prepare if they miraculously put a deal together. Dillian Whyte’s booked for July, Anthony Joshua for June, so they’re probably out. Luis Ortiz is unoccupied, as are Adam Kownacki and Kubrat Pulev (who is currently dealing with a sexual harassment case).

That’s being a bit optimistic, I’ll admit. I’m betting on it being someone like Agit Kabayel or a Christian Hammer rematch.
