As the Los Angeles Gladiators wrap up their OWL 2020 season, the time has come to prepare for 2021. The team releases their iconic Finnish support duo, Benjamin “BigG00se” Isohanni and Jonas “Shaz” Suovaara. The two were with the team from its creation, back in 2017. Flex DPS Jason “Jaru” White and off-tank player Hyung-seok “Bischu” Kim also part ways with the Los Angeles Gladiators.
Today we bid farewell to our Finnish duo.
Thank you, @BigGoose and @Shaz_OW for your hard work from Day 1. You will always be true Gladiators. pic.twitter.com/sKUKivOWdb

The Los Angeles Gladiators kept a steady roster for the OWL 2020 season, only recruiting Kevin “kevster” Persson mid-season. Despite this experience together, the team didn’t manage to impress during the OWL 2020 season. The Los Angeles Gladiators managed to reach the North American Playoffs but didn’t stay long in the competition. The team lost to the Philadelphia Fusion in the Quarterfinals, and against Florida Mayhem on the first round of the losers’ bracket.
The Los Angeles Gladiators come into the transfer period with three open spots for support players. The team already has three tanks and three DPS players, but just got rid of its entire support line. With the new OWL 2021 roster construction rules, the Los Angeles Gladiators can submit their players’ trades to the League Office beginning on October 12. They can also sign two-way players with Contenders teams while being able to grant them actual game time.
Expect more changes coming soon to the Overwatch League teams, are most are already drawing conclusions on their 2020 season.
