Demarai Gray and Reiss Nelson respond to Man City star on Instagram

From being vilified by some at the start of his career, Raheem Sterling’s reputation has just continued to grow and grow both on the pitch and off it.

The England international has become the figurehead of the movement to combat racism this season, and delivered consistently impressive performances for Manchester City to earn the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award.

With the Nations League all wrapped up, Sterling has begun his well-earned holidays and took to Instagram to post a snap of him in his latest choice of outfit.

The winger’s incredible campaign last year saw him net 25 goals across all competitions and provide a further 18 assists, becoming a firm fixture in Pep Guardiola’s side.

Despite securing back-to-back Premier League titles, City’s main target for next season will surely be getting their hands on a first Champions League title after they fell short at the quarter-finals stage to rivals Tottenham.

But if Sterling can keep improving and delivering performances akin to this season, then he could have a major say in them doing just that.
