Tottenham are to be offered a teasing player exchange offer by Real Madrid this summer, while Manchester United and Juventus have agreed a transfer before this month’s window shuts, according to Monday’s European papers.
REAL MADRID CONTACT SPURS WITH PLAYER SWAP
Real Madrid will try soften Tottenham’s desire to keep Christian Eriksen this summer by offering them significant cash up front – and first option on Colombia star James Rodriguez.
According to reports in Spain, Real have made Eriksen one of their top priorities this summer and hope they will be able to persuade Spurs to sanction the deal by offering them €60m up front as well as Rodriguez.
The Colombia playmaker would be seen as a like for like replacement for the stylish Dane and Don Balon claims the club could be swayed to cash in given tight finances at the club after the cost to rebuild their stadium cost far more than initially expected.
Eriksen is out of contract in summer 2020 and Tottenham cannot afford to allow a player of that quality to run his contract down – meaning this summer both the club, and Eriksen, face a crucial decision.
Rodriguez, who has also been linked with Arsenal, is currently in the final six months of a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich.
And having lost his place in the side in Bavaria, it’s claimed the player is open to either returning to the Bernabeu – or accepting a new challenge in the Premier League.

PEREZ TO MOUNT MASSIVE TRIPLE RAID ON PREMIER LEAGUE
Staying with Real Madrid and president Florentino Perez is likely to keep his powder dry this month – amid reports he has already lined up an astonishing €300m double raid on the Premier League.
According to rarely-reliable Diario Gol, Perez already has deals in place to bring Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to the Bernabeu this summer in a double deal that will set the European champions back a massive €300m (£265m).
The Spanish outlet claims Real are moving with an increased confidence that Hazard will move to the club in a €150m transfer this summer and will not sign an extended deal with Chelsea; his current contract at Stamford Bridge expiring in summer 2020.
It’s also believes Perez has earmarked Brazil star Firmino ahead of a potential deal for Neymar and it’s claimed that swoop can also be done for €150m.
Liverpool would fight tooth and nail to keep Firmino but it’s claimed would be confident of a deal if the player asked the club to be allowed to move to the Spanish capital.
Furthermore, it’s also claimed Real want to sign Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva and have waved an offer of €100m to the Premier League champions in a bid to entice them to sell the Portuguese star.
It’s claimed Real will sanction the sales of the likes of Luka Modric, Marcelo, Isco, Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale and possibly Toni Kroos to help fund the huge outlays.
