Hey guys welcome back to the site! We’ve got some very exciting news for you today – there may be someone in today’s video that you may not recognise…
We’re pleased to announce the signing of ex-Tilbury, Basildon and East Thurrock midfielder, Tom Anderson. He originally came in on a dual registration to help us out for a few games but since the weekend, circumstances at his club changed which meant he became available on a permanent basis. We briefly caught up with our latest signing to give our fans a glimpse of what they can expect.
“The main reason I have come to Hashtag is the two coaches, Devs and Joe Keith. They are probably the best two coaches I’ve ever worked with,” said Tom.
“The strongest part of my game is heading – I get my head on everything! I also like to get the ball, give it to the creative players and let them do what they do best.”
When asked which player he compares himself to, he said: “There’s not really a professional footballer that heads the ball as much as I do, so not really sure who I’d compare myself to. That’s a hard one.”

Tom played in the 4-2 win over Sawbridgeworth Town at the weekend, scoring twice, and has explained how his first few sessions with the team have been.
“The first few days in the dressing room have been different to what I’m used to, but it has been enjoyable. I did know a couple of the boys before I started; I played with Gleedy since I was 10/11. I have also played with Albie and Richo.”
“In terms of my goals for current season, I wan to win every competition that we are in!”
