Liverpool to rotate against Newcastle?
Brazil lost to Peru 1-0 in Los Angeles yesterday. Bobby played an hour and Fab played the last half hour. Fully expect these two not to start Saturday but wouldn’t be surprised to see Bobby start.
Rob Fort Worth TX
I think they will start. Well one of them in anyway but I’d like to see Jurgen change it and Shaqiri get a run.
Sean the sailor
Hendo & Gini played both international games so I think Fahbino may start alongside Milner.
We dont have another option at left back so has to be Robbo so i would think we will line up something like
Gomez, Matip, VVD, Robbo
Ox, Fab, Milner
Shaq, Salah, Mane
Hendo played Tue evening in London. Don’t think it’s too much of a stretch for him to play in Liverpool on Saturday.
Was good to hear neither Fabinho nor Bobby played the full game but there’s a considerable amount of travel to factor in.
I’m not sure Newcastle requires an out and out defensive midfielder either.
It’s good to be in the situation where we have such strong options.
Leicester able to claim victory at Old Trafford?
I think the match may surprise us. Leicester are a good team and may very well think we’re ripe for the taking. They won’t park the bus to the extent relegation teams do. It could well be an open game. I predict a draw, 2-2 would be my guess.
I reckon a few of those ‘injury doubts’ will manage to play. If all are out I hope Lindelof isn’t played at RB. Yes he has struggled a little this season but we need to build his partnership with Maguire. I’d call up either O’Connor or Williams to play full back with Fred coming in for Pogba alongside McT
If we’re relying on penalties to win the match then we’re in trouble, neither Rashford nor Pogba would instill confidence in that regard. Perhaps Dan James should take them….. Having said that I think we have the potential to do well. Leicester will see us as being there for the taking but keeping Maddison quiet is key and making sure that a quick player is on Vardy, in other words not Young or Maguire. Maguire should be able to give Ole an insight into what Rodgers is doing with Leicester and how they might play and react in certain scenarios. It should give us the upper hand, we just need to be able to take advantage of it.
