New suitors emerge, as Chelsea set out demands for £23m outcast’s sale

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in talks to sign out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on a season-long loan.

Goal reports that the Blues would prefer a permanent departure for the Frenchman but may be willing to accept a €3million loan fee with a mandatory to-buy clause.

The source states that PSG sporting director Leonardo is in negotiations with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

Bakayoko was close to moving to Italian giants AC Milan earlier this month after agreeing personal terms but the transfer failed to materialise.

The 26-year-old has not featured at all for Chelsea since the arrival of boss Frank Lampard. Indeed he has not played for his club since their FA Cup final win over Manchester United in April 2018.

The France international has since spent loan spells at Milan and former club Monaco, whom he left to sign for Chelsea in July 2017 for £23million.

The defensive midfielder has made 43 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit since then, scoring and assisting three goals.

PSG step back from pursuit of unsettled Rudiger

Le Parisien (via Inside Futbol) have claimed that PSG have paused their attempts to sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

TEAMtalk exclusively reported on Wednesday that the German international refused to play in the Blues’ Carabao Cup loss to Tottenham on Tuesday and is pressing to leave ahead of deadline day.

PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel has welcomed the prospect of the Europa League winner joining the Champions League finalists but the club is now taking time to assess their options.

Rudiger has been linked with a move to Tottenham recently having not featured in any of Chelsea’s opening three Premier League games so far this season.

The 27-year-old has made 115 appearances for the London club, scoring six goals and assisting two more since his £31.5million move from Roma in 2017.
