Predicted Starting XI: Pochettino makes three changes, Lloris and Trippier start

Tottenham Hotspur face Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday evening as the club look to capitalise on a crazy sequence of results across the weekend.

After Spurs lost 1-0 to Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United were both beaten, while Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Burnley on Monday evening.

Spurs, then, have the opportunity to move three points clear of the Blues, four clear of the Gunners and six clear of United with victory over Chris Hughton’s side.

Mauricio Pochettino has a number of injury problems, however, with Moussa Sissoko, Harry Kane, Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier all likely out.

Pochettino could make three changes in personnel and also a switch in formation, as Spurs take on lesser opponents in Brighton.

Hugo Lloris should be fit to return for Spurs, per Football.London, after missing the encounter with City at the weekend due to injury.

Juan Foyth played at right-back in that game but Kieran Trippier should return against Brighton, with Toby Alderweireld rested and Davinson Sanchez partnering Jan Vertonghen.

A midfield two of Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier offers a great deal of physicality and should allow the forward players the freedom to rotate their positions.

Lucas Moura, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen playing in attacking midfield offers a number of genuine threats and flexibility – they can easily swap their roles whenever they wish to.

Son Heung-Min is a better option than Fernando Llorente up front, too, though the Spaniard could well be introduced off the bench if Spurs struggle to break the Seagulls down.
